The Skin Hunger......
Jan. 2nd, 2005 03:41 amVectored and tangented from several of my LJ-friends, including the ever-thought-provoking
maedbh7 and
sdavido......
There have been all sorts of medical journal articles on the benefits of theraputic touch, massage, and hugging. I'll leave the research of them to the interested student. :-)
I happen to have two books by Kathleen Keating on the topic of healthy hugs: The Hug Therapy Book, and Hug Therapy 2. I recommend both, especially for the illustrations.
As for me, I crave hugs, even more than I crave food at times. Good heartfelt hugs make me feel GOOD! And I'm greedy; I'll take all the hugs I can get. :-) So, without further explanation.....

*HUGS* TOTAL!
