Jan. 4th, 2007 09:54 amThose of you who know me from filk circles have probably seen me with a Minimoog synthesizer. That's one of my two unique voices in the filk community; the other is the bass clarinet. I like to drag out the Mini and show it off, like it's some type of classic car. (As for hearing me play, I need to get a better amp -- my old 1981 vintage Panasonic boom box is starting to break down -- and work on my keyboard chops.)
Years ago, I saw a picture of Billy Joel with a Minimoog. I couldn't find one online, but I found a video of him playing one.
Here's Billy on piano and Minimoog with "The Entertainer" (from his "Streetlife Serenade" album).
Now to figure out that patch -- 4', triangle wave, glide at about 4 or 5.
