So Obama signed the stimulus bill into law. Meanwhile, I'm hearing the whining from folks like Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressman John Boehner. Frankly, I'm tired of their bellyaching. Now, CNN's Jack Cafferty raises the same concerns. The one that sticks out for me is that nobody read the bill before they approved it. I don't know if Cafferty is a Republican shill -- he sure sounds like one -- but if his allegations are correct, then we're in for one heck of a bumpy recovery.

I'm reminded of the old quote: "People who love sausage and respect the law should never watch either being made."

And then today, I saw that Nancy Pelosi had a closed-door meeting with the Pope, who was alledgely trying to get her to ~~recant~~ be more sensitive to the pro-life community. There are many pro-choice Catholics out there. Some left the Church because of this. (This was one of the many reasons why I left.) As long as the Vatican remains the oldest of old-boy networks, they won't change their stances on these and other issues.

Hurm.
