Fri 7/29: Went to work. Half the folks were in a department meeting for most of the day. I could have got a lot of work done, but I needed information from someone who was at the meeting. Came home and got stuck in slow traffic. The cause: a concrete mixer truck was in the median, tipping at a precarious angle. Called R to discuss what to have for dinner. She wanted Chinese, and so did I, so she called in the order, and I picked it up. She had the sweet and sour chicken; I had the combination lo mein. Went online and herd the computer go "thunk" a few times. Hasn't happened since. I don't think it's the hard drive, otherwise it wouldn't have booted up. Rather, I think it's the fan on the CPU. But I won't know until I open the box.

Sat 7/30: Got up. Took The Girl to her Kindermusik class. Had lunch at Chick-Fil-A. Discussed going to the Cetic Festival at Dayton's RiverScape Park, and possibly to one of the open Lammas celebrations.

On the way to the festival, M fell asleep. So we continued driving, past the festival, through North Dayton, onto route 4, made a slight loop at Huffman Dam Metropark, got back onto route 4, took route 235 through New Carlisle, and turned east at route 41.
We stopped at (I think it was called) Fent's Dairy Corner in North Hampton for ice cream, then continued toward Springfield, US 68, I-70, I-675, and home.

Dinner was from Beef O'Brady's -- R got a hamburger; I got the Philly cheese steak.
We were hoping to go back to the Celtic festival, but The Girl was rather clingy all day.

Sun 7/31: Woke up around 8 am. (I like that M is sleeping in with us on the weekends.) Discussed going to the Celtic Festival.

We left home around 11:30. We stopped to pick up water and ice on the way, which we placed in our cooler. We saw one of the dance troupes, and a few people we knew from the local pagan community. M had a bit of a meltdown, so we left around 2:30.

I had a headache (again), so we went home. I took some aspirin and rested for a few hours. Then I went to the store to get some hot dogs and corn, which were cooked on the grill. Yum! Took care of a credit card bill that was due today. I put the sprinkler out and talked to my parents on the phone.
