Fri 7/28: A long, boring day at work. Almost nothing to do. But once the beta test begins, I'm sure things will pick up. Had hot dogs for dinner while R went to [livejournal.com profile] polykardia's place for some "girl talk" time.

Sat 7/29: Started off the morning in the usual weekend morning way: M wakes up around 7:30am, I get up with her, and we watch videos until R wakes up. Then R and M watch videos until about noon or 1pm. Today, when R woke up, I didn't go back to sleep. Instead, I ran two cardboard totes of paper to the dump for recycling. Didn't do much in the afternoon. In the evening went to the wedding reception of two friends who got married last month. We pretty much stayed in the background; if people wanted to come to us, I expected them to come up to us. I'm tired of being the one to initiate contact. It was good to see some old friends whom I haven't seen for a while. We left early since M was starting to conk out.

Sun 7/30: Started off the day in the usual weekend morning way. This afternoon, we tried to go to the Celtic Festival. We got there, but only stayed about an hour since M was fussing so much. In the past couple of weeks, she's developed a hypersensitivity to being outside, bugs, and loud noises. Saw [livejournal.com profile] braider there briefly, but she appeared to not remember who I was. Then we stopped at a local Speedway to get drinks, and gave a dollar to a homeless vet who was outside the store. (He showed me his VA card.) I really wish I could do more for people who are down on their luck, but I have to save some money for myself. Grabbed dinner at Jersey Mike's (me) and Panera Bread (R).

Shout-outs: Happy birthdays to [livejournal.com profile] iolanthe95 and to [livejournal.com profile] owlsforodin!
