Fri 1/12: Yet another slow day at work, until the afternoon, when I started getting feedback from our QA person. I now have enough work to keep me busy for the next couple of days. And I'd rather have these bugs or concerns found internally than by Airman Snafu once the code is in production. I can't do my own QA because I will find ways around things in order to get them to work. Dinner was General Tso's chicken from the local Chinese buffet restaurant.

Sat 1/13: Schlepped some unused stuff to the garage, where/when I'll have to address it at a later date. Cleaned the chandelier by the front door.

Spent the afternoon with M. We went to the library, and then to get her hair cut. The stylist found some nits on her, so she wouldn't proceed with a cut. (It must be some health department regulation.) So we went to Walgreens to get some Rid (or equivalent product), and then went to Burger King for lunch.

That night, I went on a date with C (who I've known for a while). We had dinner at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, and then went to Kira's Oasis for the Snakes Rising "White Tour" show. Saw a few more people who I recognized there -- J, A ([livejournal.com profile] athenawindsong's mom), New Warrior brother Dave, [livejournal.com profile] agraywitch, and [livejournal.com profile] cinanguisette. It was a good show. The opening act -- Il Troubadore ("Indy's 16th Century Rock Band") -- didn't impress me until later in the show. The cellist (Jon) was making unbelievable sounds with his cello. He is to the cello what Jimi Hendrix was to the guitar. And the belly dancers were great, as always.

Sun 1/14: Did some follow-up work on some items I had up for freecycling. Did some more cleaning in the dining room, and reviewing some tapes. I found one of the missing audio tapes (#32), in a laundry basket containing outgrown baby clothes. Took a nap while watching a football game was on. I also did some laundry. Had dinner with R and M and the Golden Dragon. (That's right -- I've had Chinese food for dinner three days in a row now.)

Yech. Nits.

I recommend the Robi Comb, which is an electric nit comb that kills head lice. Especially in combination with the standard shampoo and hand removal of nits, it's highly effective. You can get it at Walgreen's for about $30.

Thanks for the notes on Snakes Rising, btw. I have a friend who's just returned to Columbus, and I have already recommended (and will remind her about) the show on February 3.
