So, who watched the Golden Globe Awards last night? I like to watch this one because it's a big party, and they serve booze! Every table must have had a bottle of Moet champagne on it.

Who was on my best-dressed list? Reese Witherspoon (not many people can wear yellow). Drew Barrymore (even if her dress looked like a towel). And Kate Winslet (who always looks good to me) *happy sigh*. :)

Worst-dressed? I'd have to agree with Cojo: Vanessa Williams. She must have had the same hairstylist as Don King. (And who does Don King's hair? Con Edison.)

Best acceptance speeches? Sasha Baron Cohen (as himself). Meryl Streep. Jeremy Irons. Helen Mirren.

Best Dressed: Eva Longoria and J.Lo. (or maybe I'm just getting homesick again)

Sasha Baron Cohen TOTALLY ROCKED the acceptance speeches. I hated Warren Beaty's ramble on and on and on and on. America Ferrera gives ugly girls all over the world a reason to hope and she KNOWS it. And you gotta love Tom Hanks' "balls." He and Billy Crystal should get together and host an awards show with Whoopie heckling from the balcony.

She isn't ugly with the full brows, glasses, braces, or strange fashion choices. She's the most beautiful character I've seen on TV in years. A big part of me wishes she really did look like that in real life because the women that character represents can't shed their "ugliness" like she can.

I didn't watch, but I did see a Youtube clip of Hugh Laurie's acceptance speach, and it was hysterical! "I'm speachless. No, I'm literally without a speach."

I thought Hugh Laurie was one of the best and funniest speeches of the night. Almost enough to scrub my mind of Sasha Baron Cohen, who reminded me with his speech why I will never see his movie.

The most satisfying awards of the night? Jennifer Hudson and America Ferrera. Whoo, you go, girls.

House Rocks!

Oh yeah, I TOTALLY was into Hugh Laurie's speech, that was a riot. "I really wish I could whip out an acceptance speech by Dolche & Gabana right now..."

It was also fascinating to hear his native accent; he said in an interview on Web MD that the hardest part of playing House is speaking "American".
